Hello
everyone ♥
Long
time no see here, in the
rubric
nails of the day
but I broke one of my
nails so deep and painfully that I have to cancel all of my planned
manicure for the past 3 months. I had to change the shape of my nails
– for short time I was wearing “ballerinas”
(which I quite
enjoyed actually) but then accidently I broke deep 2 more nails so
there wasn't a chance to have a nice manicure in the near future (at
least nails with even length) so I decided to drastically change the
shape into stiletto. I really like
how stiletto manicure looks but I never had the courage to shape my
nails like that – and it turns out to be pretty difficult to shape
natural nails into this shape but I think it worth the effort (or at
least I get plenty of compliments on my new shape :D) If someone is
interested I can write a post on how to shape natural nails in
stiletto shape :)
So
today's manicure is a modificated version on the french manicure. To
be honest I can't stand classic french mani (although back in the
days I was rocking it all the time) – I just found it so boring and
non-impressing that I much prefer one color manicure than french
mani. A few months ago I saw on Instagram a variation of french
manicure that has gold tip instead of white
and I really liked it. I decided to recreate it now on my new nail
shape.
I
started with 2 coats beige nail polish
with grey undertone by Sephora (super
cute name – Doll face )
which actually isn't the best quality and I can't understand why is
this line Formula X so popular?!
After
it dries I applied 2 coats of the new line Ice
Chic
by Golden
Rose
in the shade
05
which is perfect for classic french manicure since it gives the nails
that slightly sheerness which is typical for french mani. The finish
is jelly,
consistency
is liquidy,
it
dries pretty fast and longevity is great –
i'm wearing it almost 3rd
week on my pecure and it looks like freshly applied (I had top coat
but!). The
color is really pale pink shade which looks pretty sophisticated,
soft and kind of “clean looking” on the nails.
It's similar to the shade 71
from
the line Color
Expert – I
have review on it here:
http://preslavasbeautydiary.blogspot.bg/2014/12/notdgolden-rose-color-expert-71.html
(yes,
I'm
obsessed with beige in it's all shades when it come to my manicure or
clothing :D)
I
applied top coat to dry the 4 layers of nail polish and then I made
the french tip. I used #129 form the line Nail Art by Golden Rose –
i've mentioned it before but this is the most realistic golden shade
i've ever seen when it comes to nail polishes
(here:http://preslavasbeautydiary.blogspot.bg/2017/01/notdgold-glitter-all-way-en.html
and
here:

I made
the french tip without using tape but if your hand is shake-y you
might need them. I applied one coat of the gold nail polish (bc it's
highly pigmented) and then I added to coat (my favourite Quick Dry –
5 coats of nail polish + 2 coats of top coat and I directly go to
bed. I didn't had any damages on my manicure when I woke up! Recently
i've been trying another top coat and if it turns out to be new
favourite – i'll let you know for sure :))
I
really like how this manicure turned out, but I have huge obsession
wuth anything beige & gold and the combination is just
♥ This
is the only french manicure variation I like and i'm sure i'll be
wearing it on and on again – it's not “in your face” but it's
not as boring as the classic french mani. Golden tips add nice accent
and I really like it
♥
How
do you like classic french manicure or it's variations?
