How To Make Blue Eyes Pop? Daytime Makeup (EN)

Today’s post is step by step tutorial on daytime wearable makeup, which makes the blue eyes pop. I think that this makeup would suit all eye colors as well ☺.

The blue eyes are really beautiful and absolutely stunning (especially these ones :P ) Natural makeup in brown/black shades suits blue eyes perfect but I wanted to do a colourful makeup and that’s why I choosed purple – this shade really makes the blue pop.

My advice to the blue-eyed ladies is to avoid wearing the same blue shade as their eyes all over their lids, just so it doesn’t make them pop.                   Also avoid wearing reddish shades, because they really pop on the blue eyes and make them looking tired and even bloody.  

All other colors in the right shade would look great on blue eyes.

This makeup is really easy to do and absolutely stunning at the same time:

1.Im starting with applying an eyeshadow base all over the lid.

2.Im applying light eyeshadow in vanilla shade under the browbone.

3.Im applying matte fleshtoned eyeshadow over the upper lid.

4.Im applying matte liquid eyeliner all over the upper lid.

5.Im applying intense purple pearly eyeshadpw over the lower lashline and lower lid

6.Im finishing the look with coat of mascara.

Днес съм ви подготвила фото урок стъпка по стъпка за направата на ежедневен грим, подчертаващ сини очи. Разбира се, гримът е универсален и би стоял чудесно на всякакъв цвят ирис☺.

Безспорно сините очи са много красиви и въздействащи (особено тези на моят модел :P). На сини очи отива универсален грим в кафяво/черно, но аз исках да направя цветен грим и избрах лилавото – капризен цвят, но силно подчертаващ синьото.

Съветвам синеоките дами да избягват в грима си нюанс на синьо в същия цвят като ириса на очите им, за да не обезличи красотата им. Също нека бъдат внимателни с нюансите на червено, защото то много изпъква на фона на светли очи и е много вероятно да изглеждат „кръвясали”.                                                                                                    

Всички останали цветове, подбрани в подходящ нюанс според цвета на ириса, стоят чудесно на сини очи.

Гримът е много лесен и същевременно изключително ефектен:

1.Започвам с нанасянето на база за сенки.

2.Нанасям светли сенки в цвят ванилия в областта под веждата.

3.Нанасям матови сенки в телесен цвят върху подвижния клепач.

4.Нанасям матова черна очна линия по дължината на подвижния клепач.

5.По линията на долния клепач нанасям наситено лилави сенки с перлен завършек.

6.Завършвам с пласт спирала на долните и горните мигли.

NOTD:Golden Rose Color Expert #71 (EN)

Hello everyone ♥

I had worn for the past 3 months only dark nail polishes in autumn & winter colors. Suddenly I wanted so bad to wear simple and soft manicure in my favourite color selection – beige, ivory, powder...

The nail polish I decided to wear is from the brand new Golden Rose collection – Color Expert.                                                                                  The color is really light pink with neutral undertone and it’s suitable for any place and occasion. It looks really decent & pure. Such a classic shade!

The nail polish is with a jelly finish and I wear it on 3 layers. You can go with 2 if you had shorter nails.                                                        

The application is awful – the nail polish has really watery consistency, which is hard to apply, it dryes really fast while applying it and the brush left strokes.                                                                                                       I found out that the light nail polishes usually are harder to apply and this is no exception.

The nail polish has really fine silvery-white shimmer, which makes the manicure glowy and shiny.

След  3-месечно непрестанно носене на тъмни и наситени лакове в есенно-зимни цветове, ми се прииска да понося светъл изчистен маникюр в любимата ми цветова гама – бежово, слонова кост, пудра...

Лакът, който избрах е от съвсем новата колекция на Golden Rose – Color Expert. Цветът е много светло розово с неутрален подтон, подходящо за всякакъв повод и място. Стои ненатрапчиво, но забелязващо се. Абсолютна класика!

Лакът е с т.нар. желе завършек (не особено покривен) и съм го нанесла на 3 пласта. Разбира се, ако имате по-къси нокти и 2 пласта биха стояли добре, без прозиращи връхчета.                                                

 Нанасянето е ужасно – самият лак е с много рядка, водниста консистенция, която се разтича се към кожичките, започва да изсъхва още при нанасянето и става на черти. По принцип светлите лакове са по-трудни за нанасяне и този не прави изключение.

Лакът има много фин, сребристобял шимър, който придава лек блясък на завършения маникюр.

Basic:Different Eyeshadow Finishes (EN)

Today’s publication is part from the new rubric in my blog – called basic. Here Im gonna present you basic information about the different makeup categories, different makeup brushes and their use, etc.

This publication is about the different eyeshadow finishes, the best way to apply them and the best combinations between them.

What is an eyeshadow finish?-The eyeshadow have different textures (liquid, cream, pressed or loose) and different finishes.The eyeshadow finish basically describes the texture and appearance of an eyeshadow.The eyeshadow finish will affect the color payoff,ease of use and overall result of the final look.

Here are the basic & most popular eye shadow finishes:

Matte – matte eye shadows doesn’t have any shine, sparkles, glitters or shimmers. Usually they are really intensive pigmentiert. Since the matte eye shadows doesn’t reflect any (sun) light they are perfect for contouring and the best choice to create decent everyday makeup look. The matte finish is the only finish which you can use do the whole entire eye makeup and it never going to look too much. You can put other eye shadows with different finishes over the matte eye shadows – they are going to work perfect as a base and it will create 3D effect. The cons is that the matte eye shadows often are a bit dryer, chunkier or powdery compared to other eye shadows. They are also a bit harder to blend and the eye shadow base is a must so they can stuck to the eyelid.

Satin- the satin finish has really light, decent shine – exactly as the fabric satin. The satin finish is shinier as the matte but it isn’t shiny as the pearl finish. The satin eye shadows have softer texture compared to the matte ones and their application & blendability is better. The satin eye shadows are perfect to combine with matte ones for all types of makeup looks.

Shimmer – shimmer eye shadows had satin base and tiny shimmers inside. They are shinier compared to the satin ones. The added shimmers are reflecting the lights but don’t add any color. Everything else is like the satin ones.

Pearl – I guess everyone knows how the pearly eye shadows look like☺. Their finish is shinier compared to the shimmer/satin eyeshadows but not as shiny as the metallic ones. Their texture is super soft and easy to work with (easy to apply, easy to blend and good lasting power even without eyeshadow base.) Its better to combine the pearl eyeshadows with matte eyeshadows. Light pearly shadows suit best placed in the inner corners of the eyes and under the brow bones, to highlight those areas. I found out that the best way to wear pearly eyeshadows is to apply them at the 1/3 the lid, blend them at the crease with satin ones and darken the outer V with some matte eyeshadows. The pearly eyeshadows aren’t suitable for older ladies since their texture reflects the light and this way they make all fine lines and wrinkles super visible.

Metallic – the metallic finish really looks like a metal – it has super strong shine. Those type of eyeshadows are extremely pigmented. Their colors usually look like metal – gold, silver, bronze, copper etc. Makeup look with metallic eyeshadows cant be decent so you better wear them at nighttime.

Glitter – glitter eyeshadows are the shinier & noticeable compared to the other eyeshadow finishes. The glitter chunks are bigger and noticeable as the shimmer chunks. Again, the glitter eyeshadows are really shiny & festive so wear them at night time, at the disco or to add accent and spice up any makeup look. You have to wear them over a base and to pat them to the eyelid, so they can stick. Its better to do the eyemakeup first and then the rest of the face, just to remove any glitter fallouts.

Duochrome – the duochrome finish combines two colors and is really interesting. The duochrome texture is soft, they are easy to apply but you have to be careful with blending, so the 2 colors stay visible. It looks good with most of the other eyeshadow finishes, especially with satin & matte.

Sheer – really discreet and decent finish, light pigmentation and easy to work with. It look good combined with all other eyeshadow finishes. Sheer eyeshadows are the best choice whenever you want to soften some darker or intensive color. With sheer eyeshadows you can create the super decent makeup a.k.a. no makeup makeup.

Matte base with glitter – it sounds weird but it actually is a matte base color with added glitter chunks inside. The applying is easy but, again like the duochromes, you have to be careful with blending so the glitter chunks wouldn’t fall and stay on the brush. Just pat the eyeshadow over the eyelid.

So those are the basic eyeshadow finishes. Of course there are many more, especially brands like MAC or Inglot often give names to their eyeshadows as a different eyeshadow finish (for example velvet finish, DS finish etc.) but I think they can easy by called as some from the basic categories.
