Hello everyone
♥
Although the
weather outside is -20o , snowy, cold, gloomy and really winter-y, I
feel like spring is right around the corner and I’m ready to kiss winter 2018
goodbye at least on a cosmetic level: I’m putting away all the dark nail
polishes, deep winter perfumes and my winter makeup essentials.
My favorite
products for winter 2018 are:
Face:
-foundation Max
Factor Facefinity 3in1 Flawless in the shade 75 Golden
I already wrote
about this foundation in my Autumn 2017 Favorites here but this was still my favorite foundation for the winter as
well. It has light, airy consistency, extremely natural looking finish, good
longevity, semi-matte finish and it matches my skin perfectly. This is my
second bottle in a row and I’m sure it won’t be the last one. Great product!
- Miss
Sporty Misssion Contour palette
I wrote about
this palette multiple times and I’m still using it on everyday bases. It looks
super natural, it has great longevity even on my oily skin, it is easy to apply
& blend. I love it.
-
Milani Baked Blush in the shade Berry Amore
This is the 3rd
time I’m mentioning this blush in my favorites posts. It’s beautiful shimmery
brown with red undertone and it looks great on the skin. I’m using it on
everyday bases and I’m already halfway through it. Great product! Review on it here.
-
Compact powder Bourjois Touch-Up
This powder is
discontinued but you can still find some leftover pieces online. It’s
transparent, it has good mattifying power, it looks natural and it has good
longevity as well. During the wintertime I like to apply some powder in my
T-zone and this one’s work great, without over drying my skin. If you see it
somewhere – give it a chance.
Eyes:
-Automatic eyeliner Essence
Berry Fantastic
I included this
eyeliner into my yearly favorites and I’m still using it quite often. It is in
nice deep red shade, it has matte finish, good longevity even in the waterline
and it looks great on green & hazel eyes.
-
Single eyeshadow The Balm in the shade Meet Matt Moscowitz
I hadn’t talked
about this single eyeshadow yet but I’ll do it often future posts. The shade is
deep purple with red undertone, matte finish, good longevity and nice, soft
texture. I love wearing them as an eyeliner combined with the eyeliner Berry Amore - this type of shades make my eyes really pop! This shade is great for creating deep purple smokey eye too, whenever I want to look over the top.
-
Single eyeshadow NYX
Wanderlust in the shade Morocco
I also hadn't show this eyeshadow yet but now we have our moment together: great dark taupe shade with warm undertone, which is the perfect choice for an everyday makeup - it defines the eyes and especially for pale or blonde women is the perfect shade to go for, because it looks way more soft & subtle than dramatic black eyeliner.
- Единични сенки
NYX Wanderlust in the shade Addis Ababa
Review on this eyeshadow you can read here. Shade is deep navy blue with shimmer finish - I like wearing it as an eyeliner for soft pop of color. Lately I've been really into navy blue clothes and whenever I'm wearing navy blazer/shirt/dress I always combine it with navy eyeliner as well.
- eyeshadow primer Rimmel Magnifyes
Eyeshadow primer is a must have product if you want your makeup to stay in place during the whole day & night. This one makes my eyeshadow last longer, it makes them easier to blend and they don't crease although my super oily skin. Highly recommend!
-Mascara Miss Sporty StudioLash Designer
Тhis mascara is my new favorite since nearly 2 months and I even prefer it over my last favorite Maybelline
Lash Sensational which I was purchasing over & over again for the last 3 years. The brush is curved, with both short & long bristles, it catches even the shortest & finest lashes in the corners and it gives my blond, short and straight lashes, it doesn't smudge and it is easy to remove. I don't think I'll buy any other mascara until this one is available for purchasing!
-Brow gel Miss
Sporty Blonde
I hadn't tried brow gel yet but I was curious to try it - and now I'm obsessed! I put the gel after I filled my brows with eyeshadow and the gel sets & lightens them with 1 tone. It doesn't smudge at all and it looks natural when applied. I'm using the Blonde version because to match my light hair and the shade is light blonde with grey undertone. My mom uses the darker one and it's shade is dark brown with neutral undertone. I'm really pleased with this product and I'm sure I'll purchase it again.
Lips:
-Lip liner Bourjois
Rouge Edition Contour #Funky Brown
I've wrote about this lip liner recently here. It is soft, creamy, longlasting and in beautiful deep chocolate brown shade. I love pairing it with
-Liquid lipstick Bourjois Rouge Edition
Velvet #Cool Brown
I've wrote about this lipstick multiple times and full review you can find in the previous link, because I merged 2 reviews into 1 post. Cool Brown has light, airy & non-drying formula, easy application, good longevity and beautiful "milk & cocoa" shade :). Combination of Funky Brown +Cool Brown is my most worn for the past 2 months and I still can't get enough of it.
-NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
Stockholm
Full review on this lipstick you can find here. Stockholm is neutral, light peachy nude and its suitable for unpretentious everyday makeup, especially in combination with colorful eyeliner for classic combination nude lips & defined eyes.
-Max Factor Lipfinity
Longlasting Lip Colour #Spicy
My favorite lipstick for autumn 2017 I've worn a lot during the winter as well, whenever I was in a mood for dark lips. Full review on it you can read here. Spicy is beautiful, deep orangy-brown with red undertone, really nice, warm & intense shade, suitable for colder months.
Manicure:
This winter I've been wearing only 3 nail polishes - dark purple, almost black cream Miss Sporty The
Gel #520
(review on it here), which I was switching with this simple plain black matte cream Rimmel Matte
Black, paired with Miss
Sporty Crazy Top Coat Blue My Mind (review on it here).
Perfumes:
-Zara Oriental EDP
I received this perfume as a gift but it's definitely a hit for me - I've been testing almost all of Zara's available perfumes, I like a lot of them and I even have them into my wishlist (Nude Bouquet for sure). On my opinion Zara's perfumes are really underrated - their compositions, longevity & bottles are great and they are definitely of of the top offers on the mass market.
Top notes: rose, freesia, bergamot
Middle notes: jasmine, vanilla
Base notes: caramel, musc, patchouli
Oriental is noticeable, comfy, carame-patchouli scent, which isn't on the gourmet side, it's sweet but not overwhelming, without being heavy or artificial. On my skin Oriental is caramel, patchouli and jasmine scent - no flower notes, vanilla or musc are detectable. Cold weather suits Oriental the most and that's why I wore it quite a lot. Mine is 7,5 ml roll-on, it's always in my bag whenever I want to reapply my perfume throughout the day. Although this isn't a spritz bottle the scent is quite strong and noticeable.
Roll-on perfumes are perfect not only to carry in your bag, but also for trying new scents - I'm not sure if I'll buy the regular 100ml of this perfumes but I'll buy another 7.5ml for sure.
Roll-on perfumes are perfect not only to carry in your bag, but also for trying new scents - I'm not sure if I'll buy the regular 100ml of this perfumes but I'll buy another 7.5ml for sure.
Zara Oriental I'll place next to perfumes like Victor & Rolf Bon Bon, Dolce & Gabanna Desire and Paco Rabanne Black XS – noticeable, wintery and sweet in a mature way scents from the same category.

Lanvin Me EDP
I have in depth review on Lanvin
Me тук and now 2 years later ME is still my go-to winter perfume. MЕ is still the most longlasting perfume I've ever tried and day after day whenever I've applied it my hair, clothes, sheets, hair & coats are still smelling like it, even after washing. ME isn't a perfume everyone would like due to the licorice in it, which needs the right skin chemistry to appear - sometimes licorice smells straight like cough syrup.
Top notes: blueberry
Middle notes: licorice, tuberose, rose
Base notes:sandalwood
Overall I would say that ME is linear licorie-tuberose-blueberry scent which I simply adore.
-Avon Little Red Dress EDP
I've mentioned it a lot that this masterpiece by Avon is my all-time-favorite scent, my signature fragrance and the scent I go for anytime and anywhere - simply MY scent. I have full review on it here, I always have one bottle in stock and if I got the chance to create my own perfume it would smell just like this.
Top notes: plum, raspberry, citrus notes
Top notes: plum, raspberry, citrus notes
Middle notes: red rose, jasmine
Base notes: musc, sandalwood, amber
On my skin Little Red Dress appears as juicy plums & raspberries, fragrant jasmine, sandalwood suspicion and a bit of red rose - feminine, noticeable and extremely beautiful scent! This is the perfume I've received mostly compliments on, questions which is and nice exclamations and although is by Avon it's not popular at all (like is Little Black Dress from the same brand). I would plache Little Red Dress next to perfumes like Nina Ricci
L’Elixir, Cacharel Amor Amor and Marc Jacobs Decadence -they are all from the same category on my opinion.
These was my favorites for winter 2018. Which are yours?
