Hello beauties
Today’s review is all about a liquid lipstick by NL
Beauty, a brand that’s owned by a Bulgarian influencer Nikoleta Lozanova – you
might or might not have heard of her, anyway I’ll leave below her IG account in
care you are interested to have a look:

I’m quite excited about the fact that a Bulgarian
beauty brand is launched – until now we hadn’t had a local Bulgarian beauty
brand, can you imagine? NL Beauty got my attention from the second it was
launched πI love trying out new brands, nude lipstick are my
favorite and I quite like Nikoleta Lozanova in general (i.e. in terms of her
looks) – on my opinion she is the biggest influencer & trendsetter in
Bulgaria, literally the Bulgarian Kim K.
NL Beauty is available on the Bulgarian market since
February, but I got my lipstick in the summer – I was pretty curious to try
something from this brand, but I couldn’t decide if I should get Chocolate Milk
or Cappuccino (eyeshadow palette looks nice, but I have more than enough
palettes).
NL Beauty liquid lipstick in the shade Cappucino comes in a cartoon box, just like the high end lipsticks do (my Kat Von D lipstick came in a similar one – review will be up soon, I promise!) and the packaging itself is plastic, stable, clear with black cap. Applicator is flat and assures comfy, precise application. Bottle contains 7ml of product and the formula smells like hot cocoa, biscuits and so on yummy chocolaty things. I personally prefer unscented lip products, but this one’s scent does not bother me since is not detectable once it sets.
Formula is light, mousse-like and really pigmented – it does not require any additional coats for building up and intensifying, just one swipe and you are done. It needs around minute to set on the lips after application and then the finish becomes matte. Talking about the finish – it’s absolutely, velvet, ultramatt. Let’s summarize it like this – mattest matte finish π
Shade is dark pink nude with slightly peachy undertone, quite universal and suitable for many skin tones. It’s not one of these super ultra-pale nudes that tend to wash out the complexion, no – its dark enough to not wash your look out, but on the other hand is also neutral enough to be combined with many different eye makeup looks, from day to night.
Longevity is quite impressive – I wear this lipstick
from august on literally daily basis and no matter the temperature, humidity or
other meteorological conditions, this lipstick stays on my lips for 12+ hours. I
put it on my lips in the morning around 8, before going out for work and I take
it off in the evenings between 20 and 22h in great condition, of course it’s a
bid faded, but it’s not worn out, gone or really faded.
As you may know, matte liquid lipsticks tend to dry out the lips and this one makes no exception. To minimize the tingly drying feeling I like to dab a thin layer of matte lip balm few hours after the initial lipstick application and then, in the evening, right after I remove the lipstick I apply a thick layer of lip balm to restore the moisture overnight. This is my favorite hack for liquid lipsticks.
Here is the ingredient list, in case you are interested in:
I wear nude lipsticks since I started doing my makeup
nearly 12 years ago, I’ve tried many of them from drugstore, medium & high
end class, all the possible finishes and formulas and I’m quite impressed by NL
Beauty’s Cappuccino: super high longevity, flawless velvet matte finish, comfy
applicator, high opacity, lightweight formula, even application and nice
looking packaging, combined with chocolate scent.
In the view of the above, I also consider buying the
other shade I like at some point – Chocolate Milk, since I’m quite pleased with the
performance of this product. I’m not interested in the other articles, part of NL
Beauty’s portfolio though. Maybe if Nikoleta launches some kind of nude lip
glosses I’ll take one (or a few), the ones she has available at this point are
not right out my alley – I just don’t like other lipglosses, beside milky nude
ones.
