Autumn is finally here so I prepared for you the perfect autumn-ish review for a lazy sunday afternoon: my autumn '23 favourites. Let's start!
My autumn smells like the Morrocan Oil's body lotion with argan oil and white floral - it's exactly the same as the famous hair oil's scent: warm, oriental and cozy. It's super hydrating but light and the scent lasts for hours, you literally don't need perfume when wearing it. Such a staple for this season!
Whenever I'm not wearing the lotion above I'm currently using 2 fall scents of mine: La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain is the first, I have a full review on it here.
La Petite Robe Noire smells like sour cherries and almonds, such a warm and almost gourmet scent that I really enjoy wearing around this time of the year. The other perfume I'm currently gravitating is Heartbeat from B.U. - I used to wear it in high school (~15 years ago :D) and I just re-discovered it and I'm obssesed. It smells like sandalwood and red berries - so goood! I have review on other B.U, scent here. I think these are my favourite budget-friendly perfumes😍
This autumn I'm wearing mainly brown shades it terms of my eye makeup and on daily basis I'm wearing essence's lash without limits mascara - it makes my eyes pop in a more subtle way than black. Whenever I'm in the mood for bolder makeup I'm opting for brown eyeliner lash princess, again by essence, or for brown & shimmery eyeliner from trend !t in the shade 252. This brown combination I find sooo beautiful!
I keep my eye makeup mainly simple but I'm always wearing lip liner & lip gloss as accent. My favorite lip liner is Dream Lips 504 by Golden Rose - the shade is slightly darker than my natural lips and I can easily combine it with all of my lip glosses and lipsticks. I've went through at least 5 of it!
Depending on the mood I'm combining the lip liner either with Catrice's Max It Up lip glosses that lip plumping effect and are semi-sheer on the lips, or if I'm craving sparkle I'll go for the 3D Mega Shine lip gloss by Golden Rose in the shade 119, which is so shiny and bronze-y.
Every now and then I'm in a lipstick mood so then I go for MAC Whirl - do you remember that in 2016 everyone and their mothers were wearing this exact nude shade? It's such a beautiful cool toned deep nude shade, perfect for this season. As far as I'm informed it's still among MAC's bestsellers and it's totally understandable why.
Blush is a staple in my routine and this fall I'm mainly using the one from the palette Color Shifter by Sephora. I received a couple of compliments about how fresh my blush looks so ever since I'm always going for this particular shade: soft coral with shimmer finish, sometimes I'm mixing it up with the topper below that is mauve and very pearly - the combination is so versaitile and instantly refreshens my look.
Here are my favourite fall nail polishes: this muddy taupe shade is Sally Hansen Insta Dri 193 Slick Slate and I like to combine it with this grey-ish-mauve metallic Catrice ICO Nails 100 Party Animal – perfect match for in-between seasons.
My other two most worn nail polishes are almost identical dark plum shades: Rimmel Super Gel 050 Fatal Fling which is beautiful bourdeaux shade and the slightly darker and more purple s-he colour & style 310. I like to combine them with trend !t up I Love Effect 040 that has multicolored particles and 3D sand finish, such a unique shade.
