Hello everyone ♥
I was reading an article in my favourite magazine Burda about their recommendations on spring & summer perfumes and I decided to write a scented review since the last one I posted was in January. So today’s scented review is about the
perfume I love during this time of the year – late spring & early summer.
History:
This perfume was created by Karine Dubreuil for Lanvin in 2002 and
the bottle was designed by Alber
Elbaz. Eclat D’Arpege is classified as fruity-floral scеnt. Lanvin revives the musical theme of his legendary Arpege perfume. The composition is delicate, fragile
and angelic. Eclat D’Arpege’s first
accords are green lilac and Sicilian lemon leaves which transports us to the
first day of spring. Summer’s near, flowers are in full bloom, the scent is
more intense, it’s a wisteria blossom that blooms at perfume’s heart, accentuated
by lush peach blossom and sensual red peony. Airy green tea leaves are
refreshing. The base’s white cedar of Lebanon, gentle musk and precious amber
are like an enveloping caress.
Description:
Top
Notes: Sicilian lemon, green lilac
Middle Notes: red peony, peach blossom, wisteria, green tea leaves
Base
Notes: white
Lebanon cedar, amber, sweet musk
Development on my skin:
On my skin at first this scent is fresh and citrusy, after that it become
flowery and it ends up as floral-musk scent and slightly powdery at the same time. I can smell strong the musk and peony.
This scent is really delicate and fresh at the same time , even the lemon is
not the typical sour lemon is - more like a lemony essence in lemon pie. Most of the perfumes I have tried show the sweet notes on my skin and this one is no exception – it feels sweetie, but most of the people feel this scent
as fresh floral-citrus.
Packaging:
The packaging is absolutely beautiful - typical for Lanvin’ s products. Definitely
the bottle is my favourite from my entire ‘’collection’’. The bottle is in oval
shaped glass with golden print in ancient Greek style. The perfume itself is in
lilac shade – the perfect spring colour. The cap is silvery on 2 levels, with 2 golden rings in the bottom, and on the top it has oval decorating stone, grindet as a diamond and colored in silvery-gold.
The perfume has special plastic packaging which is really interesting but I
can’t find it anywhere. If I find it I’ll add a photo to show you how it looks
like.
Storage:
This perfume is available in 30, 50 and 100ml
bottles.
Season
appropriation:
This perfume is absolutely perfect for the spring
and the early summer. It is really light, fresh and unostentatious so you can wear it both - at hot summer
weather as well as at humid and cool spring.
Time
appropriation:
This perfume is definitely daytime appropriate.
Longevity:
I’m from the people with really low skin temperature all the time, no matter of the season and the clime so every perfume I’ve tried has poor longevity on my skin.
Although Eclat D’Arpege has pretty good – the first 3 hours I feel it and after that I feel it really light. But on my mother has so good longevity – almost the whole day I can smell it on her from distance.
Lanvin Eclat D’Arpege is probably my favourite perfume for the summer and
spring. The perfume is delicate, light, fresh and floral-citrus. To be honest I have never met a person
who doesn’t like this perfume so you’ll probably like it if you haven’t tried
it yet – just give it a chance ☺.
What are your thoughts on Lanvin Eclat D’Arpege?
