NOTD:OPI I Believe In Manicures |Breakfast At Tiffany Collection| (EN)

In my previous manicure themed post I've showed you this beautiful bright fuchsia Apartment For Two from OPI's collection OPI Breakfast At Tiffany (here) and today's review is all about another beautiful nail polish from the same collection – I Believe In Manicures.

I Believe In Manicures is in the signature for giant jewelry house Tiffany blue shade – not just a regular blue shade but extremely beautiful and bright blue with slightly green undertone that isn't either mint or turquoise blue.

To be honest light blue and green and the different shade variations of blue and green aren't exactly my cup of tea and I hadn't worn either blue or green nail polish for the past 2 years – I simply do not reach for them anymore, they are looking too engaging (maybe I'm getting too old to rock blue & green manicure?! :D) and I associate them with holiday mood & vibes.  
I Believe In Manicures I wore right after I come back from my summer vacation and it definitely elongated my beach mood - such a bright and almost neon-y blue shade that looks incredible on tanned skin and especially eye catching on pedicure!

Applying was hard and uneven – 3 thin layers applied really carefully and it still has some brush strokes on the surface which my top coat covered and almost hid.  Longevity is again extremely high – 10 days without any imperfections appeared (actually all of my OPI nail polishes show really high longevity on my nails).

Unfortunately this year's summer (at least in Sofia) was extremely short  (nearly 2 weeks sun & nice weather in August and that's all!) and autumn is right around the corner already so I have to pack away I Believe In Manicures until next summer which I'll definitely wear it more often because it is such a beautiful, non-typical and eye catching shade. I personally do not own anything similar in my collection but as I said earlier blue & green aren't my favorite shades when it comes to manicure & pedicure. 

Does it worth to search I Believe In Manicures? On my opinion – yes, if you are rocking this type of shades. For people like me who do not reach often for this blue & green range, mini nail polishes are great pick as well  :))

В предния пост на тема маникюр ви показах яркорозовата фуксия Apartment For Two от колекцията на OPI Breakfast At Tiffany (тук), а обект на днешното ревю ще бъде друг изключително красив лак от същата колекция – I Believe In Manicures.

I Believe In Manicures е в емблематичния за бижутерийната къща Tiffany син цвят – не просто синьо, а изключително красив и наситен син нюанс с лек зелен подтон, без обаче да спада в графата на нюансите мента и тюркоаз.

Да си призная, светлосиньото, светлозеленото и като цяло различните нюанси на синьо и зелено не присъстват в маникюра ми вече близо 2 години – просто не посягам към тях, изглеждат ми твърде ангажиращо (може би остарявам?! :D) и ги асоциирам по-скоро с ваканционно настроение. I Believe In Manicures носих веднага след лятната ми отпуска и определено ми донесе много настроение – толкова ярък, почти неонов син нюанс, който стои страхотно на кожа с тен, а на педикюр е просто жесток! 

Нанасянето беше безобразно – 3 тънки слоя, нанесени изключително внимателно за пълна покривност, като накрая пак имаше следи от четката, които за моя радост топ лакът почти изравни. Трайността отново е изключително висока – 10 дни само с израснала част в основата (всъщност всички лакове на OPI, които притежавам, са с безупречна трайност поне седмица на моите нокти).

За съжаление лятото (поне в София) тази година беше изключително кратко (има-няма 2 седмици слънце през август и дотам :/), а есента вече чука на вратата, затова прибирам  I Believe In Manicures за следващото лято, когато бих му отдала заслуженото внимание и бих го носила подобаващо, защото определено е много красив, нетипичен и привличащ погледи нюанс. Лично аз не притежавам друг такъв в лаковата си колекция, но както казах по-горе, синьото и зеленото не са ми сред фаворитите за избор за маникюр.

Дали си заслужава търсенето на I Believe In Manicures? Според мен – да, стига да носите този тип цветове. За хора като мен, които не посягат често към тази гама, мини лаковете в сет са чудесно решение :))

NOTD: OPI Apartment For Two |Breakfast At Tiffany Collection| (EN)

Today’s review is all about a nail polish from OPI’s collection Breakfast At Tiffany that has the romantic name Apartment For Two. Collection includes 2 sets with 4 nail polishes and I own the one with minis (mini nail polishes are extremely in handy when you are nail polish addict and your collection is insane #sorrynotsorry) of Apartment For Two, Rich & Brazilian, I Believe In Manicures and Got The Mean Reds (I love the names on OPI’s nail polishes!) 

 

Apartment For Two is in really beautiful, bright and girly fuchsia shade (purple-pink), has flawless consistency which applies absolutely effortless, it covers perfectly on 2 coats (for short nails you can even go for 1 coat), dries out quickly alone and has decent shine. Longevity is extremely high – wearing Apartment For Two I spent 12 days on my sea vacation without taking any care of my manicure and pedicure at all, although the salt water, sand & sun – my nail polish didn’t chip off & didn’t lose its shine. Flawless performance by OPI!

No matter how much I love this shade and the characteristics of this nail polish in general I have to say that it isn’t something unique or so: I have 2 quite identical as shade & characteristics nail polishes from the drugstore– Flormar Full Color Funky Magenta (review here) and Bourjois La Laque Gel Fucshiao Bella.

Does it worth to invest in nail polish from OPI instead of nail polish from the drugstore? For me personally – no, only if the shade or the collection is unique and worthy (ehh, still sighing at OPI’s Russian collection that was launched more than 10 years ago and I couldn’t reach for it and let’s not even speak about the Dutch collection – s-p-l-e-n-d-i-d ;))

You can find identical to Apartment For Two nail polish in any cosmetic store and practically in any brand’s portfolio so that’s why my advice is not to lose your time on looking exactly for Apartment For Two in the salons/ салоните/specialized stores. 

I personally am huge fan of the movie Breakfast At Tiffany and this collection of minis has more of a sentimental meaning to me +embellishing feature to my vanity (those minis are so cute! #cutenessoverload) instead of real and urgent need of exactly this pink shade from exactly this brand OPI.
