Favorites:Best Products Of 2019 (Makeup, Perfumes, Manicure) |EN|

Hello

Happy New Year! Be happy & blessed!

In the first post for 2019 we are going to talk about favorite products from the past year in the categories makeup, perfumes & manicure. You can read the previous post about favorite products for here, so now we are off to favorite products in

Face:

-         Bourjois Always Fabulous foundation in the shade 400
Bourjois foundations are my favorite – I’ve tried all of them and I have reviews on many, here on the blog, written throughout the years.  Always Fabulous is Bourjois newest launch and my new favorite: medium coverage, easy application with brush or beauty blender, semi-matte finish that looks quite natural, plus super high longevity on my oily skin. Great foundation! Always Fabulous will have its own review in the upcoming months and so far I’ll point it as the higher longevity version of Healthy Mix foundation (review on Healthy Mix you can read here тук).

-         Avon Power Stay foundation in the shade Sun Beige (PR product)
I admit that Power Stay is the first Avon foundation I am ever trying in my entire life. I got Power Stay as PR product on its really impressing release event, that included paintings, painted with different foundation shades of Power Stay – how cool is that!). On the event I had a long chat with Avon’s makeup artist about this foundation and I have to say that I’m impressed - Power Stay is extremely long lasting foundation that is my go-to foundation for the days whenever I want my makeup to look flawless throughout the whole day & night: my makeup looks freshly applied and I don’t need to matify my skin more than once per day. It sets really fast on the skin and that’s make it a bit harder to apply evenly and you don’t have much time for corrections. My personal record wearing it is straight 16 hours of longevity and I can surely recommend it to everyone who is in search of really long-lasting foundation. Coverage is high, color selection is wide (16 shades) and formula is suitable for sensitive skin as mine. Review will be up on the blog soon.

-         Concealer Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in the shade Neutralizer
This concealer is probably the most popular concealer worldwide but I recently gave it a try a few months ago. I would like to point out my post about different concealers purposes & how to use color corrections here). I have medium dark skintone with yellow undertone so I pick the shade Neutralizer but this shade might look too yellow on pink or neutral skintones (do you know which are the different skin undertones & how to find yours? If you don’t know – you can read my post about it here). On my skin Neutralizer looks like the perfect brightening concealer shade, it blends invisibly with my skin and it has quite high longevity, fixed with some translucent powder.

-         NYX Blotting Powder in the shade Medium
As I said many times, I’m huge fan of translucent powders and my recent favorite is this Blotting Powder by NYX. This powder is translucent and it has light, barely visible color (it is available in 3 shades – light, medium and dark), it sets my makeup and makes it last longer, it does not have that white cast on photos and it works perfectly with all of my foundations.

-         Bronzing powder Calvin Klein in the shade Enhance
I have full review on this amazing bronzing powder by Calvin Klein here and as you can tell from the picture i‘m using it a lot. This powder is great for medium skins like mine, it adds beautiful sun kissed bronzing effect with fine golden shine, it is super long-lasting and it is really easy for application.

-         Guerlain Terracotta bronzing powder in the shade 06 Fonce Dore
This bronzing powder by Guerlain looks frighteningly dark but when is applied on the skin it is amazing! Fonce Dori is high quality product – no fallouts, no fading away throughout the day, no uneven application… perfect No doubts Guerlain’s bronzing powders are among brand’s bestsellers.

-         Rimmel Fix & Go fixing spray
Fixing sprays are must have product for everyone, who wants their makeup to stay flawless throughout the whole day & night. I spray Fix & Go every single time that I know I want my makeup to last longer than usual and always whenever the weather is humid/super-hot. I spray 3-4 times ~20cm away for my face after I’m done with applying my makeup and I wait a few seconds before I open my eyes in order to not transfer wet mascara on the lid. Beside the fact that Fix & Go fixes my makeup it also helps to blend everything and makes my makeup more “put together” – if I went too far with the highlighter, Fix & Go makes it look more natural. Great product!

Eyes:

-         Bourjois Place d’Opera eyeshadow palette
My most used eyeshadow palette on daily bases is Eyecatching Nude by Bourjois (review on it - here), and recently Bourjois launched 2 new palettes, each with 8 shades – one with neutral browns and this with neutral pinks.  Those eyeshadows have amazing fine, buttery and soft consistency, blend with no efforts and have high longevity, plus the color selections is great too – you can make everyday makeup looks as well as bold smokey eyes using them. Place d’Opera was gifted to my but the brown version got my eye as well so I’ll probably buy it at some point too. '

-         Single eyeshadow KIKO Milano in the shade 07
This shimmery eyeshadow in beautiful graphite-bronzy shade is one of my favorites for quick & eyecatching smokey eyes – I just apply 07 all over the mobile lid, put some darker matte in the crease and finish the look with black eyeliner and mascara.

-         Single eyeshadow Calvin Klein in the shade Sandstone
You can read more about this eyeshadow here Sandstone is quite universal shade, perfect for daytime look and I see it as the lighter & softer version of the previously mentioned Kiko eyeshadow.

-         Maybelline Tattoo Liner in the shade 900
I discovered this eyeliner thanks to my favorite Mateja  (www.matejasbeautyblog.blogspot.com). Mateja said that it is super longlasting in the waterline and I cannot agree more. This eyeliner is extremely dark, with no added sheen, lasts ~10 hours in my waterline and it does not smudge.

-         Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid eyeliner in the shade 001 Black
In the past year I rediscovered liquid eyeliner as product and I have 2 favorites in this category, both from Rimmel.  Glam Eyes is liquid eyeliner with fine, precise brush, extremely black shade and really longlasting on my skin – it does not smudge, transfer or flake into the skin. Favorite!

-         Rimmel WonderSwipe liquid eyeliner in the shade 16 Out Out
My second favorite eyeliner is in beautiful deep blue-green shade that looks great on my hazel eyes, makes the green in them really pop and makes my makeup look more eyecatching & interesting, but without making it too bold. I always receive plenty of compliments whenever I’m wearing this non-typical green eyeliner.

Lips:

-         MAC lipstick in the shade Whirl
You can read in depth review on Whirl here
Whirl is a must have for nude lipstick lovers, Mac’s bestseller and one of my all-time favorites ❤ It has creamy consistency, semi-matte finish and in beautiful cool chocolate brown shade that is super.

-         Liquid lipstick Kat Von D в нюанс Hawkind
Review on Hawkind will be up very soon – this lipstick is ah-mazing! It is extremely long-lasting, ridiculously pigmented, in beautiful brown shade with cool purple undertone that looks perfect on me, flawless matte finish ❤…What more can I ask for?

- NYX lip liner in the shade Mahogany
Mahogany is in the same shade as one my all-time favorite lipsticks - NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Rome ❤ (review here). In terms of consistency, Mahogany‘s formula is a bit dry for my personal preferences, but I love the shade so much: it goes with all of my brown lipsticks and it is a go-to for me – great cool brown with purple undertone and high longevity (+10 hours).

- Makeup Revolution Jewel Collection lipgloss in the shade Exquiste
This is supposed to be a lip topper but for me is a straight forward lipgloss. I love the formula so much – it is thick and hydrating, but it’s not super sticky, it has good longevity and the shade is perfect: semi-sheer, light milky nude with glossy effect and perfect match for any makeup.

- Essence lipgloss XXL in the shade 17 Let it go
I repurchased this lipgloss at least 4 times in 2019 – there was a period where I wear only Let it go on my lips no matter what.  It has thick, sticky consistency and is super longlasting (5+ hours with 1 swipe), it makes my lips juicy and plump and the shine is breathtaking – I always get so many compliments and thousands of questions what I’m wearing on my lips. Shade is a-la Kim K – light, milky nude beige with peach undertone.

- NYX Candy Slick lipgloss in the shade Sugarcoated
This lipgloss is actually hybrid betwenn lipgloss and liquid lipstick with glossy finish – it has creamy glossy finish, it makes my lips really juicy and somehow “vinyl” effect looking, it does not dries out my lips and has highly opaque, but light & non-sticky formula, with poor longevity (~2 hours). Shade is really girly and cute, fresh light milky peach, that looks super cool on me and I can pair it with daytime or nighttime makeup looks. I love wearing it on its own or combined with brown lipstick to create ombre effect.

Perfumes:

-         Tom Ford Lost Cherry EDP
I adore Tom Ford’s perfumes Lost Cherry is perfume right out my alley –
oriental, thick, deep, bittersweet, smells like ripe cherries and bitter
liqueur Amaretto Lost Cherry is quite specific scent – usually cherry
base perfumes require special chemistry with the skin or else they sound
too artificial, wonderingly and sugary sweet.
Usually all Tom Ford fragrances are specific and you need to test them several times before buying – for example I adore Noir Pour Femme but all of my friends hate it and beg me to stop using it :D Lost Cherry is super strong, captivating scent that has great lasting power and always get noticed by the others. I love it

-         Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP

-         I already have full review on the Decadence Divine version here , but this time I’ll talk more about the classic Decadence EDP. Decadence e among my all-time favorite perfumes – to me Decadence smells like happiness, I associate it with wonderful moments, with amazing trips and I always have a bottle of it in my collection – it is such an amazing scent: white florals, plum and champagne Differences between Decadence EDP and Decadence Divine are noticeable - EDP is thicker, stronger, heavier and it has intensive silage which Decadence Divine is like its summer, fresher version. Decadence EDP will have its own review in the upcoming months.  Both fragrances are super highly rated by the people, such a compliment getters and you can’t go wrong with any of them.

-         Guerlain Insolence EDP

Review on Insolence will be up very soon – in February. Insolence is violet fantasy – I adore violets, those are my favorite flowers and I always check & test violet fragrances since I can’t resist them – I already have other favorite violet fragrance and this is Lolita Lempicka EDP (review here). I bought Insolence in one warm spring day in May and for me is the best to be worn in the spring – it smells like sweet, fresh violets It is super long-lasting and detectable within an arm length, so sophisticated (typical for Guerlain) and finely composed to the latest detail.

-         Dior Pure Poison EDP

Pure Poison EDP was an unexpected gift from e beautiful lady I met (thank you Alex ❤)and I wore it a lot in the past year. Dior is not my favorite brand and actually their only fragrance I like is Poison Girl EDP – I thought rest of the Poison line scents aren’t my cup of tea, but it turns out that Pure Poison is amazing Pure Poison is quite different from rest of the fragrances I own – I always go for sweet, oriental, thick and overwhelming perfumes to match my temperament :D while Pure Poison is on the other side -  super sophisticated, mature and completely floral, with no additional sweetness added. Pure Poison is floral scent – smells like jasmine, gardenia and white florals, it has unconditional longevity (it stays on my skin forever) plus it has kilo metric silage: you can’t miss its trail. Review will be up in the spring.

Manicure:

While in 2019 I was obsessed with OPI, in 2020 I was obsessed with Sally Hansen (you can read review on 2 of my favorite Insta Dri nail polishes here and here). Beside them, other favorites of mine are Kiko Smart in this delicate taupe shade (soon I’ll show you manicure using it – I wore it a lot in the past autumn), Essie Dive Bar (review here) and the whole nude collection Naturally Pefect by Miss Sporty (probably 80% of the nail polishes I own are nudes, but this does not stop me from buying tons of nudes regularly :D).

These were my favorites for the past 2019г. Which are your favorite products?
