It is tradition to share with you my seasonal
favorites at the end of every season and at the end of the calendar year – my
yearly favorites as well: products that I’ve discovered and enjoyed wearing.
You can see the post with my favorite products for 2017 here, and today
it’s turn to move to 2018’s favorite products, divided into categories as
follow:
Makeup:
Face:
Bourjois foundation City Radiance
City Radiance has SPF30, medium coverage, semi-matte finish and good longevity
whenever is set with some powder. It is a great pick both for sunny & cold
days, because it has good SPF and does not dries out my skin. I’ve used up one
bottle of it and now I’m on my second one which speaks clearly how much I like
this product – I am huge fan of Bourjois and I’ve tried all of their
foundations and no one disappointed me so I always have one on stock on my
vanity.
Max Factor Loose Powder
I’ve mentioned a lot on the blog that loose powders
are my favorite and I prefer them over compact powders – I’m always trying new
loose powders and I’m always curious to test the new ones on the market. Max
Factor’s loose powder I’ve been using on daily bases since May and I’ve
finished it now in January. It sets my makeup, mattifyes my skin, looks natural
on the skin and it’s clear – it is quite similar to my favorite loose powder by
Bourjois (I have review on it here)
Unfortunately Max Factor’s loose powder is discontinued and I can’t repurchase
it.
Max Factor Crème Bronzer 05 Light Gold
I’ve wrote about this bronzing powder so many times
here on the blog and I’ll keep repurchasing it as long as is available here on
the Bulgarian market – no doubts to me this is the best contouring product I’ve
ever tried. In 2018 I’ve used up 3 (!!!) packages from the lighter shade
Light Gold. This powder has grey/ashy
undertone that makes it perfect for contouring – I apply it with flat
contouring brush underneath my ckeekbones, on my temples, on both sides of my
nose, under my upper lip and in my crease. In depth

Flormar Highlighter in the shade
Midnight Star
This highlighter literally blow my mind – it has soft
and baked formula and amazing white gold shade that looks like angel glow
applied on the skin ♥ It looks extremely beautiful applied and I’m simply in
love with it. I like applying it
with highlighter brush on my cheekbones, underneath my browbone, in my
tearduckt, on the top of my upper lid, in the middle of my nose and for a
special occasion on my decolette and shoulders. You can
apply it with light hand for delicate glow from within effect or you can pat it
for blinding effect. I would categorize this shade as universal because it
gives that wet effect on the skin but not a color and you can pair it with any
makeup you wear. As far as I remember there were 2 more shades
available – one in bronze and one in pink. Obsessed!
Eyes:
Rimmel eyeshadow palette Magnifyes Spice
You can see in depth review with plenty of swatches on
this palette here. If you enjoy & wear makeup in warm tones this
palette is a must-have – variety of finishes and trendy red, pink, orangy and
bronze shades with high quality.
Bourjois eyeshadow palette Eyecatching
My go-to
palette for creating everyday makeup – extremely universal palette with wich
you can create classic office makeup as well as bold & vampy look. It
contains 6 neutral, soft shades with matte and satin finish + 2 bright accent
shades: mustard-yellow-gold and glitter pink. Eyecatching
is my go-to palette for travelling as well – ever since I got it this is the
only palette I’m travelling with, because I can create soft & everyday as
well as night makeup looks. Review & swatches are here
Max Factor Miracle Prep eyeshadow primer
Good eyeshadow primer is a must-have product for all smokey eyes lovers and this one is brand to the worldwide market. It has matte, flesh toned consistency, comfy applicator, it sets quickly once applied on the lid and works great: makes eyeshadows easier for blending, intensifies their color, elongates their staying power, eliminates creasing and my eye look looks freshly applied even at the end of the day. Highly recommend!
Bourjois mascara Eyecatching
This mascara from the same Bourjois collection –
Eyecatching is my favorite mascara for the year of 2018: it lengthens, curves,
adds volume and it lasts the whole day keeping in mind I have quite not
impressing lashes (short, blonde, straight and spare). Eyecatching takes the maximum out of them and
completely transforms them with 2 coats and if I go for 3 I got the effect
“false lashes”.
Max Factor khol kajal eyeliners Black & Olive
Max Factor’s khol kajal eyeliners are so nice products
– they don’t irritate my sensitive eyes (plus I wear contacts), glide on like
butter to the skin & waterline, have good longevity and can say only
superlatives for them. I own 2 shades from them:obligatory black and beautiful
olive green shade.
Aura fake lashes + hypoallergenic lash
glue
In 2018 I had a lot of special occasions that required wearing
false lashes and a makeup artist recommended to me Aura’s fake lashes and their
hypoallergenic lash glue. I have to say I’m quite impressed with the quality of
both items – lashes have variety of models, high quality, easy clean &
reuse and the glue is amazing: it does not irritate my sensitive eyes, it last
the whole day & night, it dries out from white to clear, doesn’t have
strange plastic smell and it works with all sorts of falsies I have.
For a special occasion I go for a
falsies (I’ve bought nr.5 Meow a few times already) and whenever I want to add
light accent I go for individual lashes
as I choose needed length to place in the outer corner of my eyes.
Lips:
Bourjois lip liners Contour Edition
These lip liners are absolute favorite of mine because
of their soft, creamy formula, high longevity and comfy feel on the lips and I
would get more neutral shades as well. I already have a review on the chocolate

Bourjois liquid lipstick Rouge Edition Velvet
29 Nude-York
In 2018 I’ve used up another nude shade from
Rouge Edition Velvet – Cool Brown (review on it here) and since I love the formula I got my hands on another
nude shade from the same collection: Nude York. Ever since I become blonde I found out that
pale nude shades does not look flattering on me and I tend to wear deeper nuder
shades that are more on the brown side, which is Nude York: medium dark brown with red undertone, which
I really like and I wear quite often.
Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick Violine Brown, Moka-Dero &
Parisienne
I have in depth review on these lipsticks and its
great velvet matte formula here and here. My favorite shades from these I own are
17 Violine Brown (soft brown with purple undertone) , 21 Moka-Dero (light chocolate brown shade with beige undertone) and my top pick for this winter -
Parisienne (dark brown with red
undertone).
Мanicure:
OPI
2018 was OPI’s year when it comes to best nail polish picks
– I got more than 20 nail polishes by this brand and most of them are really
high quality: longevity at least one week on my nails, easy application &
taking off and I am simply in love in the names of the shades

Perfumes:
In 2018 the perfume apathy that got me in 2017 finally left
and I tested enormous amount of perfumes, practically everything new on the
market + some old classics. I am
ashamed to share with you how many perfumes I bought in 2018 :D so in 2019 I’ll
ban my perfume purchases at least until the summer.
Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme EDP
Tom Ford’s perfumes are really complicated, heavy,
dark and not mainstream at all on my opinion and people around me don’t like
them at all, but I personally like almost all of its fragrances. I don’t
know why I haven’t tried Noir Pour Femme yet and I tested it for the first time
in October and I literally fell in love at first smell with this amazing scent
♥ I adore this strong, heavy and dark, vamp oriental
scent that has interesting salty note in it, amazing longevity (~24hrs) and
this beautiful massive bottle. Noir Pour
Femme is not easy for perception scent and literally none of my friends likes
it :D it is quite unique to me, does not look good on everybody and you need
special chemistry in order Noir Pour Femme to project well. You must test it a
lot before buy because it is such a heavy fragrance. I’ll have a review on it
in the near weeks.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire EDP
Old favorite of mine but yet I prefer it in
concentration EDT – ever since it was launched in 2012 I adore it but the
perfume version was too bitter, licorice-ish and strong for my liking. Ever
since 2012 my perfume preferences changed a lot and in 2018 I fell in love with
the perfume and I just can’t give enough of it: intense sour cherry, violets
and licorice ♥

Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka EDP
Lolita Lempicka EDP feels quite similar to La Petite Robe Noire – a lot of sour cherries, violets
and licorice, nice projection and good longevity. Bottle is true piece of jewelry ♥ I plan on writing review on it soon as well.
Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci EDP
I am true fan of Nina Ricci’s perfumes and there isn’t a single perfume
from this brand that I don’t like at least a little, but Ricci Ricci is perfume masterpiece
–
interesting, non-typical scent of
rhubarb and white florals, which is so unique and so different from the mass,
mainstream fragrances on the market.
Marc Jacobs Decadence Divine EDP
Decadence Divine is no doubts the scent of 2018 – I wore it on the bachelorette party of one of my
besties, on her wedding day, on my senior prom, on my summer holiday and
literally on every special occasion I have this was my go-to scent: to me
Decadence Divine smells like carefreeness, joy and fun ♥ When it comes to notes, Decadence Divine smells like
champagne, plum jam and white florals, extremely feminine scent that every time
I wear I get enormous compliments! In depth review is available here.
