Basic:Different Eyeshadow Types (EN)

Hello everyone

Today’s post contains basic information about the different eyeshadow textures, which texture for which type of skin & age is suitable and some products suggestions. I also want to mention that I already have a post about the different eyeshadow finishes which you can see here: http://preslavasbeautydiary.blogspot.com/2014/12/basicdifferent-eyeshadow-finishes_15.html

Pressed powder eyeshadows:

Pressed powder eyeshadows are definitely the most popular and I guess everyone knows how to use them. They had different finishes & pigmentation. You can find them in palettes or just single packed eyeshadows. The easiest way to apply & blend them its by using eyeshadow brushes. For perfect results and more longlasting power apply an eyeshadow base underneath them. They are suitable for every skin type and especially for oily/combination.

1.Wet’n’Wild Eyeshadow Pallette

2.Inglot Customized Pallette

3.Guerlain

Creamy eyeshadow:
Creamy eyeshadows became really popular through the last couple of years. They also had variety of finishes and pigmentation. The matte ones are a bit difficult to work with since the look a bit patchy on the lid when applied. The satin, shimmery and the sparkly creamy eyeshadows at all are really easy to apply and look beautiful wearied alone. The creamy eyeshadows usually have better lasting power than the pressed ones but if you have oily skin they crease easily. The easiest way to apply creamy eyeshadow is by using your fingers or a synthetic concealer brush. You can also use a creamy eyeshadow as a base under pressed powder eyeshadows – this way they would stand out more. Creamy eyeshadows are perfect for dry, normal and combination skin. If you have oily skin set them with pressed eyeshadows.

1.Maybelline Color Tattoo

2.Pupa Cream Eyeshadow

3.Dior Cream Eyeshadow

Cream to powder:
This type of eyeshadows look creamy but when applied on the lid the turn out powdery. Often they are less pigmented and suitable for daytime makeup. The easiest way to apply them is by using your fingers. They are suitable for every skin type & age.

1.Bourjois Color Edition

Loose eyeshadow:
Loose eyeshadows usually look like a fine dust and had shimmery, pearly or glittery finish. You have to work patiently with them so they don’t fall over your cheeks. Apply them with concealer brush or with your fingers. They are also suitable for all skin types & age.

2.Loreal Infallible

3.Illamasqua Loose Eyeshadow

Pigments:
The pigments are also like fine dust and they are the most pigmented products for makeup. They had all types of finishes and are really multifunctional – you can use them as an eyeshadows, highlighter, blush, bronzing powder, mixed with some lip balm as a lipstick, you can add them into a nail polish and etc. Apply them with different makeup brushes to achieve different effects.
