Hello everyone
♥
Today’s scented
review is about Roberto Cavalli Paradiso Assoluto EDP – really sunny, carefree,
sophisticated and feminine
scent ♥
Spring has
already arrived and I’m in the mood for sunny, soft and joyful scents which is Paradiso
Assoluto.
Paradiso Assoluto translated
from Italian mean “absolute paradise” and I definitely think that this name
suits the scent a lot: Paradiso Assoluto is carefree, summer, sunny scent,
scent for vacation, for beach, for sea & humid weather, really joyful and
sparkly.
I already wrote
a bit about this perfume here so if you don’t
want to read in depth review on it, then click on the link and read the short
overview.
The third fragrance of the Paradiso collection is Paradiso Assoluto, released in late 2016. Paradiso Assoluto represents aromas of a heavenly garden, its generous nature and intense flowers. It is announced as a sensual and alluring scent that starts floral and spicy with accords of red pepper and wisteria. A wild jasmine note, signature to the Paradiso line, is mixed with red lily in the heart of the perfume. The base is described as sensual and creamy, with accords of patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla. The nose behind this fragrance is Louise Turner.
Description:
Top notes:
red pepper, wisteria,
bergamot, grapefruit, lemon
Middle notes: wild
jasmine, red lily, passion fruit
Base
notes:
patchouli, sandalwood,
vanilla, red lily, cashmere
Development on my skin:
Right after spraying Paradiso Assoluto is straight up citrus sharp scent - I feel detectable grapefruit, lemon and bergamot notes, a bit spiciness from the pink pepper: at this point it feels almost unisex (my nose doesn't detect any wisteria here or later). Up to 15 minutes after spraying the scent goes softer, milder and the unisex feel is totally gone - there is white flower explosion: deep, intense and strong wild jasmine and little bit of barely detectable red lily. Perfumes that have strong white flower notes aren't for everyone's liking and you must like white flowers to enjoy this one. In the base Paradiso Assoluto has strong wood feel: a lot of sandalwood, a lot of patchouli, a lot of cashmere and a tiny bit of vanilla. Sandalwood makes the scent warmer and it gives me association with warm, sun kissed, tanned skin on a tropical island and the wind is bringing smell of white, creamy and fragrant flowers.
Patchouli here is gathered and soft, almost mild and it doesn't feel heavy, damp and overwhelming. I think that cashmere adds that soft feeling to the scent and it makes it so unique, compared to the rest white flower based perfumes. There is a bit of vanilla in this scent, but it's barely detectable and it doesn't irritate me - I hate vanilla so much and it makes me feel sick whenever I smell/taste it, but the vanilla in here isn't the classic sweet vanilla, it's more of a woody type of vanilla, that is nicely paired with the white flowers. It is in the right amount to add some sweetness to the scent.
Paradiso Assoluto definitely has intense development: sharp citrus opening, followed by strong white flowers explosion and in the base – white,
creamy flowers with wood suspicion. Main notes I feel in this perfume are jasmine, sandalwood and cashmere, with a little bit of barely noticeable vanilla. For me Paradiso Assoluto is really interesting and complex, absolutely feminine scent. Paradiso Assoluto gives me tropical associations - for me is carefree and vacancy suitable scent, which I can't wait to wear during my summer vacation and until then I'll enjoy it in the city.
Packaging:
Storage:
Fragrance is available
as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.
Season appropriate:
For me this scent is suitable for spring & summer.
Time appropriate:
I prefer wearing Paradiso Assoluto as daytime perfume, but during the summer I've worn it as night time scent as well.
Longevity:
Longevity is so strong that I have to be careful with the spritzes I take on it - if I put too much it is so strong, that it irritates me.
Usually white flowers scents are incredibly long lasting and this one makes no exception - longevity is around 12hrs – 24hrs on my skin and on my hair, clothes or even sheets it stays until I wash them. Even in the highest temperatures when basically any scent has shorter longevity, this one lasts more than 12hrs.
During the spring when the weather is cooler I spritz Paradiso Assoluto 4 times and the scent lasts from early in the morning to late in the night.
During the summer when the weather is hot & dry, with temperatures over 25○ I spritz just 2 times, because if I put more Paradiso Assoluto is so strong that everyone around me can feel it and I don't think my colleagues or the people around me are supposed to feel my perfume the entire time. If I'm in a non-formal atmosphere: by the sea/on vacation/on a walk, I'll go for the usual 4 spritzes. This scent is so long lasting that I don't need to reapply it during the day and even If I go out I spritz it only once and not every time.
Paradiso
Assoluto is non-typical white flower scent - really warm and sunny, soft and mild, super feminine and with the right dose of sweetness in it, that isn't fruity or gourmand sweet, it's floral type of sweetness. Its composition blends wild jasmine, woody notes and cashmere, that add feminine, sexy feeling to the perfume - the smell of confident woman. Paradiso Assoluto isn't girly scent, it's feminine scent, which has impressive longevity and intensity and people always notice it. I categorically don't think this is an easy to like scent, because it has such a non typical composition and it's not for the mass liking.
Paradiso Assoluto definitely has that Cavalli smell - I noticed that all of Cavalli's perfumes have that specific creamy white flower note and I detect it here as well. Other scent that I think is kind of similar to Paradiso Assoluto is Roberto Cavalli Just Cavalli: Just Cavalli is softer, sweeter and girlish, while Paradiso Assoluto is more non-typical white flower scent, more mature and feminine.
The other 2 scents from the Paradiso collection also have that carefree, summery and holiday-ish mood: classic one Paradiso is citrus-green perfume and Paradiso Azzuro is an aquatic-lavender perfume. For me & my liking Paradiso
Assoluto is the most intriguing from these 3 perfumes, but if it's too floral or sweet for you then test the other two Paradiso fragrances.
