Hello everyone ♥
Last month I showed you my favourite eye
makeup brushes #1 and today I’m going to show you my favourite face makeup
brushes #1.
A while ago I lost part of my face
brushes and I gave away some other so I was looking for some new face makeup
brushes. After I red Sneji’s (snejanaatanasov.blogspot.bg) review about the Lollipop Cosmetics brushes I
decided to give them a try so I purchased 2. I was really pleased with their
quality so after 2 months I purchased another 3. The brand Lollipop Cosmetics
is pretty popular lately so I decided to wrote a review about all of their face
makeup brushes that I own since I really like them and I use them every day.
Here’s my honest opinion about them:
1.Angled buffer foundation brush
This brush is from synthetic hair, really thick and standard size. It’s really comfy to work with and it applies foundation easily even in the hard to reach areas – around the nose, under the eyes, around the ears, hairline. This
brush is perfect if you’re looking for a brush that gives you full coverage
without cake effect. When I first saw it I thought that it would be too small
for me – her head is tiny. Actually it’s
pretty comfy to work and it takes me just 3-4 buffs more compared to my flat
buffer one. I highly recommend this brush for women that have problem skin,
large pores and imperfections – it gives pretty full coverage and it covers
everything. It’s easy to wash, it
dries out quick, it doesn’t fall out any bristles and it’s sooooo soft! I have
pretty sensitive skin which get’s irritated super easily so I always go for
super soft face makeup brushes.
2.Flat buffer kabuki foundation brush
This flat buffer is also from synthetic hair, it’s 2x bigger than the angled one, it’s thick, super
soft and I don’t have any fall outs. It’s easy to clean but you have to be
careful to wash really good in the middle. It dries out a bit slower than the
angled one. Using this brush make’s the foundation application super easy – 3-4
buffs and I’m ready. I like to apply my bb/cc cream with it because it gives me
such a natural finish with minimal product. It also works great with thicker
foundations.
3.Powder
brush
Again, a synthetic hair brush which is
pretty big – I personally have combination skin so I like to apply powder all
over my face and this brush is comfy for me to work with but If you like to
apply powder only on your T-zone then this brush might be too big for you. The
bristles are super fine, thick and I achieve full coverage with my powder –
this brush takes a lot of product. If you’re looking for a fine and delicate
mattifying then this brush isn’t for you. It’s easy t clean but since is so
thick it dries out slow – usually I wash it around afternoon so it will dry
till the next morning and I can use it.
4.Angled
blush brush
This brush is from natural goat hair, it
feels a bit harder than the synthetics but it’s nice and soft as well and it
doesn’t irritate my skin. I
like to apply my blush or bronzer with it. It’s not super thick and not super
loose, for me it’s the perfect thickness and shape for a blush brush. It’s
soft, it doesn’t have any fall outs, it’s easy to clean and it dries out a bit
slower compared to a synthetic blush brush. I have to put a brush protector after I wash it so it stays in shape.
5.Contour brush
This brush is also from natural goat hair, it’s soft but not too soft. This is the only brush
that has 2-3 fallen bristles. I like to apply my contour powder with it – it
contours cheeks, nose and chin perfectly. I think it’s pretty similar to the
famous Nars Ita brush. Using it I achieve full contouring since it’s thick. I
like to apply my bronzing powder with it – just above the contouring – above
the cheekbones, on my forehead, my jaw line. It’s easy to clean and I also had
to put a protector after washing it. If you aren’t into heavy contouring or
bronzing then skip this brush.
So that was for my first part of
favourite face brushes. Stay tuned for #2 soon.
I also want to mention that every type of the mentioned brushes is available in other brand’s assortments – for example as Zoeva, Morphe, Real Techniques, MAC, Sigma, ELF etc.The important thing is
the quality of the brush and not the brand at all☺.
